Pork, Its whats for dinner (It can replace the beef)
Having been a big fan or chicken or beef- then getting a discount on pork for being a bzz agent- I decided I would follow one of the recipes that I was given.
After eating it, I have decided that Pork and Chicken are probably my 2 favorite dishes.
We made a citrus inspired recipe, and we plan to do it again. We used pomegranate and oranges and we loved it.

Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon Live:
10/11/2012
It is 11:19pm and I am just getting home from seeing "How To Train Your Dragon Live" in Columbus, Ohio. The show is running this week at the schott center arena October 11th (tonight was opening night) until October 14th.
Some things you should know before seeing the show:
The story centers around Hiccup and Astrid among many other characters for those who are not familiar with the movie. Hiccup a young viking, with issues proving to his father that he should be a dragon trainer will stop at nothing to prove his worth. Astrid a young female dragon trainer, and her friends study hard and sometimes don't understand Hiccup are training to be part of the "Dragon Games". I don't want to say too much there but, I will say this eventually leads Hiccup to try a new approach to catch the attention of those around him (involving the ever popular dragon "Toothless"). As you watch you wonder if things will ever go right for the main character?
There are many price levels when it comes to tickets- all can be found at http://www.dreamworksdragonslive.com
There are also VIP packages as follows:
Tonight's show started right on or around the normal time of 7pm. I think they held the curtain to allow families to get seated for about 5-10 minutes. When the show finally started children all around myself were in awe of things buzzing, zipping, and lighting up all around them. The huge projection jumbo screens, and the artwork they use to move the story of the Academy Award winning movie is great. You might actually feel as if you are in the isle of berk.
Following Hiccup and Astrid lead for a great adventure right to the very end.
Tonights performance did have a technical issue about 5 minutes before intermission with a dragon flying- as they do use an inverted track to fly the dragons. They paused the show for a period of time and continued right where they left off.
After this they took another 15 minute intermission to set up for Act 2. The show gets even more exciting after the intermission, and the second act really keeps you focused till the finale.
So many dragons are represented. There are 24 dragons and about 12 different species shown through the show in various ways. From puppetry to animation robots.
About the technical issues tonight: Why they waiting for the issue to be fixed was hard, it allowed for time to talk among each other and enjoy the time we were having. Some of the younger kids around us began to get impatient, but once the issue was fixed it was as if it had never ever happened, because everyone was so in awe of the show.
Overall I would give this show a 4/5 star review. The only issue I might of found was some of the fast dialogue and perhaps this was a venue issue- not that with the actual show.
As an avid theater goer, this was a new fun way to enjoy some theatrics.
When I got home I found a few videos of the issue that was had. I also found some great video clips of the show. Recording/photography was allowed as long as it was not flash photography. Another tip when seeing the show, if your kids want to take photos, and want to keep a memory of the show.
Also I need to note I was given tickets free in exchange for a fair review.
I generally did enjoy the show and I am 26 years old. I had an older friend go with me and they loved it too, the younger kids who went tonight also left talking non stop about how much they enjoyed it.
I suppose sometimes even dragons need a quick break to spread their wings properly, and no one would know the wiser.
In order to take advantage of a 25% percent of tickets- please use PROMO CODE: MOM . This code will work for tomorrow night(Fridays) Columbus, Ohio show, as well as Nationwide on weeknights.

**** Also to be noted: This show has a lot of wonderful merchandise, so much to choose from- you might want to check online and figure out what you want and prices in advance to help speed up lines and be more organized and know how much money to have on you with small children******
Some of the people who experience the VIP packages were talking about how much fun they had also, all the extras, and learning about and visiting the dragons up close, taking a picture in costume, and getting other special merchandise- if you have the funds- it is a great learning experience from the sounds of it, and other reviews.
If you have any other questions about this- please feel free to email me: brycealister@Gmail.com

P.S.- I ALSO WANT TO REPORT THAT THEY OFFERED REPLACEMENT TICKETS TO THOSE WHO WERE UPSET ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE SHOW!

If I had 1000 words?
I think the first thing I would want to say would be that I love my family. I love my mom for having raised me almost single handed and doing things for me my whole life. My grandparents for always teaching me new things, and sharing wisdom they have learned with me. I would thank friends whom I have had for coming into my life and teaching me what it is that I know today, leaving a hand print/blueprint for me to follow on occasion.
I would want all that on the top of my list.
I also would want people to know that the "golden rule" - really is important.
Treat others the way you wish to be treated. You constantly see people talking about being bullied, or being treated different. The world we live in today could be much more peaceful if we learned to see the "good" in everyone, and realized everyone has faults. It is a singular journey to ourselves to constantly improve those things we know that are not the best in us. It is something I myself struggle with all the time, with that said, others can help us or hinder us. Treating others the way we want to be treated ensures a peaceful environment of which to grow and thrive in- and that is important.
I would also want to say thanks to those who have ever offered me a seat at their table, fed me, clothed me, or gave me a warm place to stay. People, including myself often take the little things for granted. Once again, this is something I struggle with in today's world, when the ads on T.V. or that we see from day to day tells us something bigger and better is out there. Everyone tends to run after those things without first appreciating the first things we have in life.
I think there is so much more that can be said, but after watching the movie with Eddie Murphy entitled "A Thousand Words" - the thought above came to mind.
With that said- what kinds of things might you want to say if you only had a thousand words? have you ever thought about it?

What I thought about Frankenweenie! :)
So I have just left the new clay motion stop motion Tim Burton film. Frankenweenie is wonderful. This movie has its mysterious charms, its horror notions, and an homage to all those wonderful old vintage sci-fi/horror films we have groan to love.
Burton ask us what makes science special in this film! He also warns us that sometimes we can use science for the wrong reasons. You must love your project as much as Victor Frankenstein loves his dog Sparky.
Don’t think you will get out of the theater without a few tears, and a whole lot of laughs in this new adventure, based on the older live action short film of the same name by Burton.
Let’s hope that Mister Whiskers might have something to say to you, and the “weird girl” never brings a message from him- you will see why in this new hilarious romp by Burton for sure.
As it is I still have tears in my eyes- this movie met and went higher on expectations then I thought it would.
I was so hyped and excited for this movie already- seeing has now given me new things to think about? This film is so good- take your kids, family and friends and start this Halloween month of October off right.
Note: due to the nature of this film, kids who react with films might be taken back, shocked or SAD at times. please consider this with your own child. It can be used as a good discussion on Life and Death, Science, Learning, Education, taking care of our pets and many other notable themes in the movie.
ENJOY! :)

Here Comes the Boom Movie Review:
Having gotten to go to a premiere screening tonight of the movie “Here Comes The Boom” staring Kevin James, I must say that the movie went higher than my expectations. I went expecting a comedy, not something inspirational. The fact that this movie was both completely inspirational, and funny the entire time was a great added bonus when viewing this film. I highly recommend this film to everyone.
The basic premise of the film is a teacher fighting to preserve the arts program in his school, and just how far he will go to once again become a good teacher, and help the education in his classrooms move forward. This is a common problem today in schools with a low budget. Teachers have a hard time keeping kids focused and on task when they are worried about supplies and budgets. This movie goes to prove that if one person stands up we can do something about it.
If you are a teacher you are also going to really love this movie, and the message behind it- WE ARE GOING TO SUPPORT YOU IN YOUR ENDEAVORS TO TEACH OUR YOUNGER GENERATIONS.
Education is important.
If you want a great night at the movies, and a fun family film this is it. you will laugh, you might tear up, and you will have a blast watching the silver screen.
Note: This movie did have some bloody aspects when it came to martial arts/fighting when Kevin James character goes to become a professional fighter to raise money for his cause.
Thanks for reading, and enjoy the show! :)
Tomorrow night I will write about #Frankenweenie!
Enjoy! :)
